About 100 km northwest of the Hampi ruins, there are the ruins of Badami, Pattadakal, and Aihole. Hampi is famous and has many tourists, but these places, despite being part of the same World Heritage site, have fewer tourists. However, they are quite simple and charming, and it is probably just that the access is difficult.
