I feel a similar chilly atmosphere towards the AI revolution, just like during the Web revolution era.

When the Web first started, many people did not take it seriously. "Some otaku are doing something," or "That kind of thing won't become popular." I think that atmosphere was quite common at the time.

However, that Web has now become a foundation of society over 30 years.

And now, similar reactions are happening to AI. While some people have started using it, many others only see it as "just a few more chat programs."

This pattern is very similar to what happened back then.

However, there is one major difference. The Web spread because humans used it, but AI itself is rapidly evolving.

In other words, this time, simply "waiting and seeing" may not be the safest approach.

The speed of change is much faster than before. Those who underestimate AI are more likely to be strongly affected by these changes.

Just like those who scoffed at the Web later had to accept it. Something similar might happen in a shorter amount of time.
