Move to Ingapirca.
Ingapirca ruins.
Today, I'm going to the Ingapirca ruins from the morning.
I skipped it the other day because of rain, so I'm trying again today. The probability of rain seems high in the afternoon, so I'm leaving early in the morning.
It opens at 9:00, but I left Cuenca at 6:30 and arrived at 8:30, so I had breakfast at a small restaurant in front of the ruins and waited.
When I bought a ticket, it seems there is an English tour starting at 9:15, so I participated.
However, for some reason, perhaps because the weather is bad, or maybe it's always like this, the English tour was just me, and I was guided one-on-one.
The one in the foreground is the Kanyari tribe's moon temple, and the one in the background is the Inca's sun temple. It's quite interesting.
The calendar uses the moon, and it was a 13-month calendar.
The sun temple also had a mechanism to determine the seasons by the angle of the sunset.

This is the left side, the Moon Temple.

On the opposite side, you can see the Sun God Temple.

The stonework of the Sun God Temple is of high quality.
The stones are stacked without any gaps.

A rock called "Cara del Inca," which means "Face of the Inca."
It certainly looks like an Inca person.

You can also visit the museum.

I have created a video of this surrounding area.
South American motorcycle touring: Arausi → Ingapirca ruins → Cuenca.
