I visited the Mist Trail in Yosemite Valley.
It is well-maintained and easy to walk.
The round trip uses the Mist Trail, and after seeing two waterfalls, you return on a different trail, so the distance is different for the outbound and inbound routes.
Starting altitude: 1250m
Outbound: 2.5 miles, 4km, 2 hours
Turnaround point: altitude 1800m
Inbound: 4 miles, 6.4km, 1.5 hours
Round trip: 6.5 miles, 10km
A rainbow is appearing in the waterfall basin.
The waterfall is beautiful.
It is surrounded by rocky mountains.
In Japan, "mountain climbing" is the main activity, and as the name suggests, the purpose is often to climb the mountain. However, here, while mountain climbing exists, trekking for enjoyment is the main focus, and summit courses are just one type of option.
It's interesting to see the cultural differences.
Here, long-distance trekking without a summit is common, but in Japan, it seems like there are more courses that connect summits.

I went to see Mirror Lake, which is 2 miles (3 km) one way.
However, when I actually went there, the water level was low, and the lake was 80% dry.
It seems to be due to the season.
