Move to Yosemite National Park.
Northeast entrance area - Yosemite National Park.
Northeast - Yosemite National Park.
Tuolumne's Giant Sequoias - Yosemite National Park.
Yosemite Valley - Yosemite National Park.
Yosemite Valley - Mist Trail - Yosemite National Park.
I visited the Mist Trail in Yosemite Valley.
It is well-maintained and easy to walk.
The round trip uses the Mist Trail, and after seeing two waterfalls, you return on a different trail, so the distance is different for the outbound and inbound routes.
Starting altitude: 1250m
Outbound: 2.5 miles, 4km, 2 hours
Turnaround point: altitude 1800m
Inbound: 4 miles, 6.4km, 1.5 hours
Round trip: 6.5 miles, 10km

A rainbow is appearing in the waterfall basin.

The waterfall is beautiful.

It is surrounded by rocky mountains.

In Japan, "mountain climbing" is the main activity, and as the name suggests, the purpose is often to climb the mountain. However, here, while mountain climbing exists, trekking for enjoyment is the main focus, and summit courses are just one type of option.
It's interesting to see the cultural differences.
Here, long-distance trekking without a summit is common, but in Japan, it seems like there are more courses that connect summits.

Yosemite Valley - Mirror Lake - Yosemite National Park.
I went to see Mirror Lake, which is 2 miles (3 km) one way.
However, when I actually went there, the water level was low, and the lake was 80% dry.
It seems to be due to the season.
Recently, there have been abnormal weather conditions with high temperatures throughout the United States.
→ I received a comment and was informed that the periods of snowfall and rainfall are uneven, and mainly concentrated from December to March.
Mirror Lake was originally a large glacial lake, and the current one is said to be the last remnant.
