Staying in Kuala Lumpur.
After staying in India for one week, I came to Kuala Lumpur.
In the summer, it will probably be very humid, but right now in March, it is very comfortable.
It is not very unpleasant to take a walk.

I came to the Central Market.
The accommodation is near here.
It is clean and comfortable for the price. It is completely okay.

I will walk to the nearby museum.

First, enter the Textile Museum.

Next, we went to the city center, which is located very close by, to get an overview of the town.
On the upper floor, there was a miniature display and a show featuring visuals and music.

And then, have tea inside.
An entrance fee of 5 ringgit (approximately 170 yen) is charged, but you can use that 5 ringgit to order something from the cafe inside.
The matcha cake is delicious.
It's amazing to have matcha in Indonesia.

And then, I strolled around the nearby plaza.

The next day, I walked around the area again.

First, I went to the National Mosque.
It was, as expected, huge, beautiful, and magnificent.

Visit the Islamic Museum, which is located right next to the National Mosque.

After that, I went to the police museum, which is also nearby.

From there, I walked a little and went to the National Museum.

First, I had lunch at the museum's cafeteria, and then I went inside.
I only saw the permanent exhibition, but it wasn't as big as I thought.
It seems they also have special exhibitions, but I decided to skip them.

After that, I went to a planetarium, or rather, a space museum, nearby.
When I tried to pay the entrance fee, they said, "It's free."
It costs 12 ringgit to watch the planetarium show, but the next show was for children, so I decided to skip it.

The view from the observation deck of the planetarium.

And on this day, I returned to the guesthouse.

I was planning to go to a show at night, but I was so busy working on the website that I completely forgot.
Oh dear.
The next day, I went for a walk around the nearby Chinatown.

And, I got the tickets for Taman Negara National Park for tomorrow.
I had reserved them online, but since I had some time, I came to look for them in case I couldn't find them in the morning.
It was in a convenient location.
The musical "MUD" in Kuala Lumpur.
I had originally reserved a ticket for last night, but I was making a website and forgot about the time, so I missed the show. However, I came to the theater directly and asked if I could get a replacement ticket, and they said that there were available seats and since it was my first time, they would give me a free replacement. It was a very admirable and polite response. I was hesitant about coming, and even if I did come, I was planning to pay for two tickets, but I'm glad I came.

The ticket I received was from a few days ago, so when I asked, "Where should I sit?" I was told, "That seat is available, so you can sit there." I sat there, but then the person who actually had the ticket came. There must have been someone who bought a ticket after I entered. The staff's actions were polite, but the way they handled it still felt like the carelessness often seen in Southeast Asia. If you're going to assign seats, you should secure them. If you want people to sit in empty seats, just say so, and I would have done that.
The content was okay, I guess.
But it was surprisingly empty, which is a bit concerning.

And then, I return to the lodging.
In the morning, I eat chawanmushi, a Chinatown staple.
And then, I go to Taman Negara.

Taman Negara National Park.
I decided to visit Taman Negara National Park, which is said to have existed for over 100 million years and is one of the oldest in the world.
This is also a location where the Japanese TV show "Wednesday Downtown" was filmed.

Kuala Lumpur stay, day 2.
I returned to Kuala Lumpur from Taman Negara National Park.
The next day, I first went to the Telekom Museum.
This museum mainly features exhibits related to the history of telecommunications.

And then, to the KL Tower (Kuala Lumpur Tower) located nearby.
It is 421 meters tall, so it is not exceptionally high, but it is still a fairly tall building in Kuala Lumpur.
Originally, I thought it was 49 RM (approximately 1600 yen), but that was the price for the observation deck covered with glass.
There is an open deck above that, and it seems there is no glass there. The entrance fee is double, 99 RM (3200 yen). I had a 10% discount coupon, so I paid 90 RM (2930 yen). Even though I thought 1600 yen was expensive, it's even more expensive at double that price, which feels a bit questionable.
I took the elevator to the open deck.
Well, it's a pretty good view.
It seems a little backlit.

Well, I had a decent time.
After that, I went to the Twin Towers and strolled around the shopping center.
Then I returned to the hotel.
In the evening, I ate something that looked like ramen at a food stall.

The next day, I went to BATU CAVE, which is located in the northern part of Kuala Lumpur.
It looks like a Hindu temple inside a cave.

Arrival.
Since it is a Hindu temple, it has a certain "smell" of India.
I wonder if this unclean smell is unavoidable because I am Indian, no matter where I go.
In such a beautiful Malaysia, how can this place be so dirty?
Indeed, "people" are everything.
Well, thankfully, unlike in North India, there were no "persistent and suspicious touts" who tend to follow you around.

Climb the stairs and then enter the cave.

There are many monkeys.

The inside of the cave is surprisingly spacious.

And then, after going down, I entered a small art gallery (?), which cost 15 Rs (490 yen).
The exhibition was a bit underwhelming.

There was a short dance show, but it only had two songs, so it was a bit short.
The man in the middle seemed to have some training, but the two people around him were at a club level.
Well, I guess that's about it.

This temple seems to hold a festival once a year where people gather and have needles inserted into their bodies.
It's a bit gruesome.
And after returning, I bought a shoulder bag to replace my old one, which cost 30RM (970 yen).
The shoulder bag I was originally using had thin straps that dug into my shoulder, and the color faded easily when exposed to sunlight (only on one side), so I was looking for a replacement.
I was able to obtain it easily and am satisfied.
It has a slightly Asian-style color, but well, it's nice to have something like this sometimes. It's boring to always have beige.
The next day, after eating breakfast, which was rice porridge as usual, I headed to the Kuala Lumpur Zoo (Zoo Negara).
The zoo is located a little far away, so I took the train for a short distance and then took a taxi to get there.
The driver said that the meter could not be used, and the fare was a fixed price of RM10 for a one-way trip, but the return trip was RM7.5 using the meter. Hmm.
The entrance fee is RM80 (approximately 2600 yen).
If you don't want to see the pandas, it's RM50 (1600 yen), but that feels incomplete.
Even though the yen is weakening, considering the dollar conversion, I think it might be the most expensive zoo I've visited abroad.
It's hard to compare, but the entrance fee for Ueno Zoo is 600 yen (laugh).
The entrance fee for Asahiyama Zoo is 820 yen. Hmm.
The entrance time was around 10:30 AM.
Even so, the animals in this zoo seem very energetic.
Compared to the "animals that seem to lack motivation" in many other zoos (laugh), the difference is obvious.
It is moving around a lot.
This bird is also flapping its wings.
And then there's the regular show. It seems to be held at 11 AM and 3 PM. I'm glad I made it to the morning show.
It seems to focus on seals, and there are no dolphins, as expected.
Jump successful.
Ring catch successful.
Audience members who can have crocodiles wrapped around their necks.
Is it a parrot? A performance where it flies to the audience seats.
Again, the seal show.
A seal that skillfully manipulates a basketball.

It seems you can take commemorative photos with horses (or something like that) and parrots.
In the background, more seals are waiting.
And the show is over.
I walk around the park.
First, there are marine and river creatures.

After eating, we continued our walk.
It was stated that the standard visiting time was 2 hours, but it is impossible to see everything in 2 hours.
In the first place, the show alone requires more than 30 minutes, and eating takes another 30 minutes.
The park is also large, and there is also the panda hall.

I walked around the park, and it was almost 2 o'clock when I arrived at the panda house.
The pandas were moving around actively.
Indeed, the animals seem to be more energetic compared to other zoos.
Is it thanks to the warm climate? Or perhaps because they are living in spacious areas?

Pandas are cute.

And then I left the panda hall.

This tiger might be the coolest tiger I've ever seen.

The lion was dozing in the shade.
There are many deer.
And then to the bird area.

Giraffe.
Finally, to the butterfly area.
Finally, we left around 4 o'clock. We spent 6 hours at the zoo.
Just as we were about to leave, we happened to see a performance.
The staff members were performing near the entrance.
I left the zoo and walked to the main street. Since the direction was wrong, I crossed the pedestrian bridge and went in the opposite direction to catch a taxi.
There was a bus stop right there, but there were no schedules, so I took a taxi to the nearest train station where I had come from in the morning. It cost RM7.5 (240 yen).
Then I took the train and returned to the hotel.
The day before returning home.
Breakfast was the usual rice porridge.
And then I went to the bustling area of Bukit Bintang, which was a place where an old commercial district and new shopping malls were combined.
The old commercial district was about the same as Chinatown. I forgot to take pictures.
The mall had many international brands.
It was beautiful, but I just thought, "Well, I suppose so."
I didn't find anything particularly new or unique to Kuala Lumpur, but I ended up watching "Cinderella."
However, it was surprisingly good. The palace was so luxurious that it was breathtaking.
The story is familiar, but it's still moving. I recommend it to people who like medieval European architecture.
Then I went back to Chinatown, saw a small temple (?), and returned to the hotel.
