From Armenia to California.

I will travel from Almería to Cádiz by motorcycle.
This section is about 180km.
After going down from the mountains, you will continuously ride through a large basin surrounded by mountains, which is basically flat.
Since it is a highway, there are no traffic lights, which is comfortable.
You can bypass the toll booths for free.

Using Google Maps navigation, the estimated time was 3 hours, but it took 4.5 hours including lunch and breaks.

Arrived at the hotel.

La Pinta Boogaloo
Single room (shared bathroom), 2 nights for 64,000 pesos (approximately 2,600 yen).
Breakfast included.
That's about 1,300 yen per night.

The hotel is always locked, and when I go out shopping, I feel the wary gazes of the local residents (bitter smile).
Although I'm staying in a relatively safe area within Cali, it's still important to be careful.
Anyway, I'll stay for 2 nights and visit the zoo, which is a 10-minute walk away. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of animals are in this area.

Video: Armenia → California.

I made a video of this section.

Museo Del Oro Calima.

I visited the Calima Gold Museum (Museo Del Oro Calima).
It was ranked high on TripAdvisor, so I decided to go, but it was surprisingly small.
If you go to Bogota, you might not need to visit this museum.

I went by bus and walked about 5 minutes from the bus stop. However, local residents stopped and said, "You can go ahead" just because I approached them from behind. I've experienced something similar once in a town a long time ago, but this is the first time I've encountered it frequently in this town. The fact that local residents are naturally concerned about people approaching them from behind means that this town is very dangerous in terms of being targeted from behind.

Zoologico De Cali.

I visited the Cali Zoo (Zoologico De Cali).

I went there hoping to see animals unique to the Amazon, but other than seeing a lot of Galapagos tortoises that I often see on TV, I didn't really understand what was different. Or rather, perhaps other zoos are doing a pretty good job. It's not particularly large, but it's normally enjoyable. If you happen to be in the area, it's worth a visit, but it's not worth going out of your way for.

Still, I ended up going during a school trip, so it was very crowded. It seems like there weren't many other visitors besides the children.
