I moved to Denali and made plans at the visitor center.
I am moving from Anchorage to Denali.
It may be different from the mainland United States, but I don't feel the absolute confidence of Americans that I felt when I came to the United States in the past.
There are many people who seem to lack confidence, such as a Kentucky uncle or someone who looks like Santa Claus.
Perhaps this is why Trump, who says he will strengthen America again, is popular.
Even when I transited through the mainland United States, at least in the airport, everyone seemed to be quiet.
Perhaps America is changing.

Mt. Healy Overlook Trail
Today, I'm going to climb a small mountain near the entrance of the national park.
The course guide said it would take about 2 hours one way, and it actually took about that long.
It's just the right amount for a warm-up.
From the top, you can see the park's visitor center and the surrounding facilities.
I think the building I see on the hill is probably a luxury hotel.
There are more mountains beyond the summit, but since the route has a fixed endpoint, I went a little further to see what was ahead and then came back.
The hiking trail is well maintained and easy to walk on.
Well, starting tomorrow, I'm going to a remote area with no cell phone signal for 3 nights and 4 days.

Campground squirrels.
Moved to Wonder Lake. (Family of grizzly bears & foxes & a herd of moose in the distance & a lone male moose in the distance).
I am moving to Wonder Lake.
By the way, during my stay in the national park, I made a mistake of leaving my stove at Wonder Lake. The shuttle bus driver found it and brought it to a bench in front of my next accommodation, Igloo Creek Campground. I am grateful for that.
It wasn't that they brought it without permission. I stopped the bus that was running and asked the driver. Then, he asked another driver via radio. Within the national park, private vehicles are prohibited, and you have to take the bus. Since it was too late for me to go back and get it myself.
There is a designated place for storing stoves at the Wonder Lake campground, and you are not allowed to leave any flammable items outside of that area.
Then, I moved to another campground within the national park, and I left it there again. I asked the shuttle bus driver to bring it for me. I am grateful for that.
In South America, the language is Spanish, so I often struggled with communication. But in America, it's English, which is a completely different experience.

McKINLEY Bar Trail
Moved to Igloo Creek Campground (eagle and bear sleeping).
Igloo Creek Campground
Cathedral Mountain (looks like a mouse and meerkat).
Cathedral Mountain. A course where you cross a river barefoot. I didn't encounter anyone else. There's practically no hiking trail, so you just walk wherever. It's like having the mountain all to yourself.
Mount McKinley is usually cloudy and only visible about once every few days. Today was a lucky day because it was visible for a long time.
On a sunny day, it's a wonderful place. The weather determines whether it's heaven or hell. The flowers are beautiful, and the weather is perfect for a nap.
The trekking is a bit of a challenge, as there are sometimes paths and sometimes not, and you end up following animal trails.
→ Later, I found out that walking barefoot in the river is dangerous and takes a long time. If the water is cold, it can be fatal, so it's better to take off your socks, put on your shoes, and quickly cross the river. Then, thoroughly wipe your shoes with a towel before putting on your socks and shoes. Apparently, you won't get that wet. Also, modern hiking socks are very good.

Igloo Mountain
Igloo Mountain. The beginning is covered with bushes, and the hiking trail is blocked by branches. From a certain point, there is practically no hiking trail, so you just walk randomly. The end is unstable and prone to collapse, so it's dangerous if you slip, and there's no one to help, so I turned back. I didn't meet anyone else here either.
Trekking in Alaska is interesting, but because there are so few people, you become cautious thinking about what might happen in an emergency. I don't want to fall, break my leg, become unable to move, and then have no one come to help for several days, only to become food for bears and foxes.

Return to the park entrance (male moose).
View of the river from the road along the opposite bank of the Visitor Center.
Horseshoe Lake
Windy Creek Trail (just a little bit).
Byers Lake (Denali State Park)
Tonight, I will be staying at a campground in Denali State Park, which is located just south of Denali National Park.
Originally, I had planned to go north to Fairbanks, but almost everyone I met recommended the Kenai Peninsula south of Anchorage and the area around Anchorage instead of Fairbanks, so I decided to head south to the Kenai Peninsula instead of going to Fairbanks.
I will also be stopping in Anchorage to restock on supplies.
Tomorrow, depending on the weather, I might take a short walk around this area.
