Move to Venice.

I will be traveling from Florence to Venice by bus.
Surprisingly, the bus is not very crowded. Perhaps many people choose to travel by train.

My accommodation for tonight is as follows:

Locanda Silva
Single room for 3 nights, 210 euros (shared toilet and bathroom) (approximately 28,330 yen), including breakfast.
That's about 9,440 yen per night. This hotel has decent facilities, but the lack of motivation among the staff is amazing (laugh).
It seems like only tourists come here, but with this level of service, the contrast is quite significant.
The location is very good, within a 5-minute walk from St. Mark's Square, but the staff is ruining it.
This is the most expensive single room I've stayed in this trip, at 70 euros per night. It's a normal price, or even cheap for overseas travel, but I'm saving quite a bit this time.
My friend is staying near St. Mark's Square, so I chose to stay nearby as well. If I were alone, I would have probably stayed in a cheap dormitory in a separate location (laugh).

Venice city center stroll.

Venice is a city where you can be satisfied just by walking around.
It's rare to find a city where you can be entertained just by walking. However, since this is my second time in Venice, I remember it being more beautiful, but now it seems old and dirty, the buildings are small, and the sea is murky. What is this?
Have my eyes become more discerning, or is it that memories are idealized?
It seems like the prices for outdoor stalls are lower than the last time I came. There are cut fruits for as low as 1 euro. Perhaps it's because people from Croatia are working here. The prices for Venetian masks have also dropped from around 50 euros last time to around 8 euros this time. It might be due to the difference in seasons. Last time, I think it was August? The transparency is not good.↓ Hey, what is this? The scale is wrong. The large church in the background makes the cruise ship look like a small hut.
Apparently, even larger ships have visited in the past.
There were also reports of cruise ships running aground in the past.
Venice is shallow, so large ships cannot enter, which is why it did not become a port for the large ships of the Age of Exploration and declined. It seems impossible for such a large ship to enter. It is far inferior to the high-level ice cream in Romania, but it is still delicious. And the sunset.↓ Another luxury cruise ship with an incorrect scale is passing by.I had a dream that I was living in Venice during its peak in medieval Europe, appearing as a priest or something like a bishop. Venice, just before the Age of Exploration, before its decline, had a culture that felt like it was losing its vitality, and I was a priest who was pained by this. It felt very real for a dream. I feel like I've seen this dream several times.

St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco).

I am walking in St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco) in Venice.
It has been about 10 years since my last visit.
Apparently, when the high tide coincides with certain conditions, this entire area of St. Mark's Square becomes flooded.
It would be interesting to see.
During this stay, it seems to be perfectly fine.

Basilica di San Marco.

Visit the Basilica di San Marco.
Photography is not allowed inside.
The interior is a magnificent temple with ceilings and walls covered in gold.
It is worth seeing.

I did not go to the Treasure Hall and the temple this time.
I am in my 10th year, and my friend said they didn't want to stand in line.

San Marco's Bell Tower (Bell Tower, Campanile di San Marco).

The bell tower of St. Mark's (Bell Tower, Campanile di San Marco) was climbed 10 years ago, so I will not climb it this time.
Seeing it from the outside is enough for this time. Instead, I plan to climb a different tower.

Doge's Palace.

Today, I went to Doge's Palace first thing in the morning.
I was able to enter before the crowds. It's been 10 years, but it's still impressive.

Museo Correr, National Archaeological Museum, Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana.

I went to the complex museum located in Piazza San Marco, which includes the Museo Correr, the National Archaeological Museum, and the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana.
I purchased a ticket that was also valid for the Doge's Palace.

The route was a little difficult to understand, but the content was okay.
However, Venice is more charming as a city itself, so museums tend to fade into the background.

San Giorgio Maggiore Church.

Take a boat to the opposite shore and go to the San Giorgio Maggiore Church.
The view from this tower towards St. Mark's Square is very beautiful.

Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute.

Take a boat across the canal to visit the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute.
It's a bit small. The inside is decent, and I was able to hear what seemed to be a free organ concert.

Burano Island (Isola di Burano).

Take a boat to the island of Burano.
This is a place famous for its colorful houses.
Well, something like this is also interesting.

Murano Island (Isola di Murano).

Let's go to Murano Island by boat.
It seems that Murano glass is a specialty here, and there are factories everywhere.
However, even in this day and age, glass itself isn't that rare, is it?
The pizza I ate at a trattoria here was delicious.
It was served with the toppings already on it, and they would bake it when you ordered.
I like this kind of thing.
