I went to Yamadera in Yamagata.
It's been a while; this is my second visit. The atmosphere is good, but it's too crowded because it's Golden Week. Also, the moment I arrived, I started experiencing hay fever, so my eyes were watery and my nose was runny. I went to the inner temple and back, and then quickly left. Hundreds of years ago, something like this might have been considered a spiritual disturbance or possessed by evil spirits, requiring an exorcism, but I think it's just hay fever. When I arrived at Yamadera Station, my symptoms had lessened, so it might have really been a spiritual disturbance (or maybe not).
Since it was my second visit, I was thinking of exploring some side paths or other places, but the branch point at the top of the mountain was a place only for monks, and ordinary people were not allowed. There seems to be something to the north as well, but I couldn't go there because of my hay fever. There's also a Basho Memorial Museum, but I thought I'd visit it another time when it's not hay fever season.
The temple staff seemed tired, and I wonder if they were bored during the COVID period, but now they're suddenly busy and it seems tough. Thank you for your hard work.
I tried recording a video, but when I rewatched it, the movement was too fast and it made me dizzy. Maybe it's better to fix the viewpoint and not move it too much. I'll try various things. The first one I uploaded had an image that was too large, so I made it smaller. I also added background music later. If I use the latest H265, the image size becomes smaller and the quality is better, but it's not compatible with all environments, so I used the standard H264. The image quality has become quite rough, but considering mobile listening, the balance between size and quality is probably limited to this. YouTube is optimized for various device environments, so it's amazing how well they're doing. Since I'm just uploading files myself, I'll keep it at this level.
