The growth is slow...
As for my feelings, the listening section was terrible. I think I did worse than in January. My listening ability is definitely improving, but something is wrong. I felt much less tired than in January; I could read and understand the English text more easily, and I could hear it. However, the number of questions I could answer was unfortunately small.
In January, I was desperately focusing on the English text and my ears. This time, I was able to understand it to some extent, so I might have been wrong to skip over sentences I didn't understand. However, that "skipping" ability is necessary when doing extensive reading or listening to CNN. It's a subtle point. As a measure for the next time, I will focus on building a foundation, with the idea that if I do that, I will be able to understand things instantly. Therefore, I will not take any special TOEIC preparation measures other than regular grammar and syntax studies.
In the reading section, I managed to reach the beginning of the last column this time, whereas last time I left the last two columns completely blank. I'm just a little bit away from answering all the questions. My reading speed is steadily increasing, so if I can steadily improve my reading ability and syntax skills, my score should go up. This is where extensive reading seems to be effective. I used to think TOEIC was "long," but I've come to think of it as "short." That's probably a sign of growth. I hope my score will increase a little.
Until now, the TOEIC test has been a grueling experience, but I've finally been able to consciously recognize my "strengths and weaknesses" while taking the test, which will be a source of growth. I've also come to understand why TOEIC is considered "easy." At the same time, I feel that I need to overcome the "mountain" of TOEIC quickly.
