Move to Warsaw (Warszawa).

I will be traveling from Krakow to Warsaw by bus.

I found a bus company called LEX Express at the bus terminal and decided to try it.
If you register as a user, there is a discount. The travel time from Krakow to Poland is about 4 hours, and the price is 29 zł (zloty), which is about 940 yen.

Miejski Warsaw Zoo.

I went to the Miejski Warsaw Zoo in Warsaw.

This zoo has low fences, and I often wonder how the animals don't escape.
The birds are not at all wary and can get close.
The basic animals are the same as other zoos, but there are some unique animals and birds that are interesting.

There are no such things as bad manners, such as shaking the net to lure the animals over or feeding them, which are often seen in Chinese zoos.

Warsaw Royal Castle (Royal Castle, Zamek Królewski).

Today, I will visit the Royal Castle (Zamek Królewski) in Warsaw.

I bought a weekend pass and came to the Old Town using the metro and tram.
The Royal Castle doesn't seem to open early, so I wandered around the Old Town, visiting churches and other sights.

When I arrived at the Royal Castle around its opening time, there was a huge crowd.
When I went to the ticket counter, a woman who seemed a bit grumpy asked, "How many people? Here, your ticket!" in a brusque manner. What is this? She seems to be saying something. I don't understand the language. When I said "Huh?" with a questioning tone, she responded impatiently, "Today is free!"
Well, I don't know why she was so irritated, but I was able to enter for free, so I'll just go with it.

The Tin-Roofed Palace.

I went to The Tin-Roofed Palace, which is part of the Royal Palace in Warsaw.
Today, it is also free to enter.
Inside, it was a carpet exhibition room.

The Kubicki Arcades

I went to a small arcade located behind the palace, called The Kubicki Arcades.
Well, I probably didn't need to come all the way here. Of course, the entrance fee is free.

Warsaw (Warszawa), old town and city center.

And, I will walk around the Old Town of Warsaw and the city.
From the Old Town, a large road extends south.
The Old Town is not very large, so if you stay at a hotel nearby, you should be able to walk around it sufficiently.

Other areas also have tourist areas that are relatively compact.

National Museum of Archaeology.

Today, I went to the National Museum of Archaeology.
It's not that big, and there isn't anything particularly outstanding, so it's not really worth coming all the way from Japan. However, it has a general collection of exhibits, so I was able to enjoy it to some extent. This is a place I probably wouldn't visit if I didn't have the time for this kind of trip.

Obtained a Brazilian VISA in Warsaw.

Obtaining a Brazilian visa at the Brazilian Embassy in Warsaw.

I considered other cities, but it seems that this location is the easiest to obtain a visa from, based on the route.

- Milan, Italy (departure city for the flight): It seems a reservation is required. It takes 5 business days. I inquired via email in English, but received a reply in Italian. They seem unwilling to provide support in any language other than Italian, and even with machine translation, the response was very unhelpful. This seems problematic.
- Rome, Italy: I plan to only pass through Rome, as I visited it in the past, so I will not be staying there.
- Lisbon, Portugal: I will not be going there.
- Prague, Czech Republic: The price is $35 (probably), and it takes 5 business days.
- Here, Warsaw: The price is $25. According to other blogs, it is issued immediately (within 30 minutes), although it actually takes 5 business days.

Therefore, I decided to obtain the visa here in Warsaw.

National Gallery of Art (Zachęta)

Today, I'm going to the National Gallery of Art (Zachęta).

This place opens at 12 o'clock, so it's a museum with a relatively relaxed opening time.
I thought museums and art galleries usually open early in the morning, but it seems that's not the case worldwide.

Protestant Church of the Holy Trinity (Kościół Ewangelicko - Augsburski Świętej Trójcy)

I entered a church I happened to pass by, the Protestant Church of the Holy Trinity (Kościół Ewangelicko - Augsburski Świętej Trójcy).
It has a much simpler structure compared to other churches.

Holy Cross Church (Kościół Świętego Krzyża)

I enter the Holy Cross Church (Kościół Świętego Krzyża).
The inside is as splendid and wonderful as other magnificent churches. (There are no photos of the inside.)

Warsaw National Museum (National Museum of Warsaw, Muzeum Narodowe).

Due to a change in my Brazil visa arrangements, my departure from Warsaw was moved from the morning to the evening. I used the free time to visit the National Museum of Warsaw (Muzeum Narodowe).

About half of the rooms on the second floor, mainly the rooms displaying paintings, were closed due to high temperatures. Thanks to this, the entrance fee, which is normally 15 złoty (approximately 490 yen), was reduced to 10 złoty (approximately 330 yen). Hmm.
I initially thought there were two staff members and bought two tickets, but I'm not sure why I made that mistake. I received a refund for one of them.

The Christian-related exhibits here are truly impressive. This is wonderful.

Palace on the Isle (Łazienki Park & Palace, Lazienki Park, Lazienki Water Palace).

I visited the Palace on the Isle (Łazienki Palace) in Łazienki Park.

I walked through the vast park to get there.
It's a palace located on the shore of a pond within the park.

It seems that this place was originally used as a bathhouse, and now there are sofas where bathtubs used to be.
