Today, I participated in an Auschwitz tour from my accommodation in Krakow, and it was much worse than I had imagined.

The piles of hair and bags were overwhelming, and I felt nauseous.
I couldn't look at the hair directly for even 10 seconds. I think I would actually vomit. Even looking at it for a few seconds makes me feel sick and nauseous, so the best thing to do is to avert my eyes and calm myself down, and then look at it again for a few seconds, repeating that process.

Most of the inside areas are allowed to be photographed, but the room with the hair and the underground torture and confinement chambers (rooms with no lights, rooms where people had to stand for long periods, etc.) are not allowed to be photographed. Of course, that makes sense. I felt like I might throw up.

As I mentioned in the previous entry, I only had the option of taking a tour, but it was well-explained, and overall, it was a good experience.

Children are sent to the gas chamber because they are not a source of labor. It is difficult to understand.

I am walking around the Main Market Square in the old town of Krakow.

It is divided into five themes, and among them, the photographs of places where Jews were murdered in the suburbs, and the photographs of synagogues (Jewish places of worship) that have been abandoned and fallen into disrepair due to the absence of caretakers, were particularly impressive.

After seeing this, I became interested in the traces of Jews in various parts of Poland. I feel that understanding the Holocaust is superficial without knowing this. There are many places to see, such as abandoned synagogues, rebuilt synagogues, people cleaning and repainting the graves of relatives who have no descendants, and places where groups were massacred in the suburbs. I need to do some research.
If I go, it might be by motorcycle.
I will keep this as a topic for future consideration.

However, the more I learn about Jewish people, the more I am impressed by how intelligent and capable they are.
