Nazca Lines - Torre Mirador de Las Lines de Nasca.

I viewed the Nazca Lines from the roadside observation tower, Torre Mirador de Las Lines de Nasca.
Even when viewed from the ground, it is difficult to understand, but from the observation tower, it looks larger than a Cessna, which is interesting in its own way.

■Torre Mirador de Las Lines de NascaFrom the observation deck, it seems you can see "hands" and "trees."

Nazca Lines - Astronaut.

I climbed the hill right next to the observation deck, but I didn't understand anything.
Later, I found out that there is something written on the slope that says "Astronaut."
Maybe it would have been visible if I had climbed the hill on the other side.
Hmm. I missed it.
I saw it from the Cessna, but seeing it up close would probably be interesting. Maybe.

Move to the town of Nazca.

We leave the area where the geoglyphs are located and move to the town of Nazca.
From the ground, you can't tell at all what is written.

Nazca Lines, aerial tour.

It was rumored that a Cessna flight cost between 110 and 150 USD, but now, during the off-season, it seems you can fly for 70 USD (for 8-12 people) or 75 USD (for 4-7 people), excluding the airport tax of 25 soles (approximately 900 yen). Both prices include two pilots. I took an early morning flight to see the Nazca Lines from a Cessna.

Small planes fly lower, so the view of the lines is supposed to be better. Since the price difference wasn't significant, I chose the smaller plane (4-7 people) because it guarantees a window seat. I was glad I had lost 30 kg in India, as the fare is charged for two people if your weight exceeds 100 kg. I'm currently close to 100 kg again, but the person from the hotel I booked seems to be able to handle it, which is helpful. I don't have a scale, so I don't know my current weight.
→ I weighed myself at the airport and it was 88 kg. Hmm.

I was worried about the turbulence, but it was surprisingly comfortable.

Actually, I didn't notice it during the flight, but I felt a bit nauseous when I returned to the ground. It seems that I was so focused on the Nazca Lines during the 30-minute flight that I didn't pay attention to my body. I lay down for about two hours after returning to the hotel, and then I recovered.

The Nazca Lines appear much smaller than I had heard. I was in a small plane with a capacity of 6 people (2 pilots and 4 passengers), and I think we were flying quite low, but even then, they looked small.

When shooting with a standard lens equivalent (35mm + 1.5x magnification equivalent on an APS-C mirrorless camera = equivalent to a 50mm lens on a full-frame camera), it looks like this. It's roughly the same feeling as what you see with your eyes. It's at a level where, if you were using human eyes, you could somehow find it and understand it.

↓ There is a "UFO" in the middle, but it is quite small.

↓ Quite enlarged.

Even though I knew it, everything was small, which was a little disappointing, but at least I was able to see them properly, so I'll consider it okay. Well, I have no regrets.

Perhaps it was because it was an early morning flight, so the wind was weak and there was less turbulence. However, in this area, the wind is strong from daytime until evening, so people who come and go from places like Lima for a day trip will probably experience a lot of turbulence in strong winds. I left the hotel at 8:00 and returned to the hotel around 9:30.

Antonini Archaeological Museum.

I went to the Antonini Archaeological Museum (Museo Arqueológico Antonini), which is located on the outskirts of the town of Nazca.
The entrance fee is surprisingly high. The content is decent, but it's still a bit expensive. It's a tourist price.
